Next week, viewers will witness Roy grappling with a startling revelation: his new love interest, Alice, is actually married. The bearer of this unwelcome news? None other than her irate husband, Mal.
For some time now, Roy has been engaging in a correspondence with Alice through a pen pal initiative. Although their relationship has yet to transition into face-to-face meetings, Roy has developed a genuine affection for Alice. Recently, he even sent her a bouquet of flowers to apologize for a misunderstanding. His friend Mary Taylor has noted Roy's infatuation, but all of that may come crashing down when Mal shows up at the café.
"When Mal arrives at the café, poor Roy is taken aback," reveals an insider from the show. "Mal immediately declares that he is Alice’s husband, leaving Roy in a state of confusion."

The following day, as if things couldn’t get any more complicated, Nina informs Roy that their electricity has gone out. Staying true to his character, Roy reassures Nina that he has already called for an electrician. However, both of them are left in disbelief when they discover that the electrician is none other than Mal!
"What terrible luck for Roy! Out of all the electricians in Greater Manchester, it just has to be Mal who shows up, right? It’s almost too unbelievable to be real!" our source added.
